Rooted and Filled – Word of the Day

Rooted and Filled – Word of the Day

Rooted means

cause to grow roots and establish deeply and firmly

Filled means

to be filled or become an overwhelming presence in

Frances Chan, author and speaker, spoke in 2015 of being “Rooted in Christ” found on Right Now Media.  He states many Christians and Churches have developed a counterfeit relationship with Him.  Not really trusting our faith in God they profess to believe in.  We must get back into His Word, building deep roots and become filled with Christ, sharing His love and promises with others.

Below is a scripture Frances Chan used that is so beautiful about our relationship with Christ and the promises he gives.

A Prayer for Spiritual Strength  Ephesians 3:14-19 (ESV)

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, – When we pray

15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, – He will know us intimately

16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, – By His glory, He will strengthen us with His power

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, – With faith, Christ dwells in our hearts, rooted and grounded within us with His love.

18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, – He gives us strength and understanding knowledge that has no bounds

19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.   – To know Him and be filled to the fullness of Him.

Awesome! Thank you Father
