Phebe or Pheobe
Women of the Bible … Phoebe was known as a deaconess, a sister, a friend, a servant and a minister much like Paul and Timothy. She devoted herself to the ministry in the church.
It is said she was a woman of great influence, possibly with wealth and position to be able to travel similarly as Paul did from her home in Cenchrea to the port of Corinth and toward Ephesus.
Paul entrusted her to deliver a letter and greetings from him to many churches. He also considered her a sister and as worthy as a saint after she nursed him back to health, in Romans 16:2.
She was welcomed with confidence; respected by Roman Christians and is the only Christian women in history records in that time. Phoebe opened her home to many during the early church. She was also known as a woman who inspired many by her goodness, sympathy, loyalty and kindness inspiring many who came into her presence.
Dear Lord, thank you for the wonderful examples given to honor and emulate, your Word is full and rich.
