Doctrine & Orthodoxy vs Heresy

Doctrine is a teaching or belief that a church, political party or other group holds as true. Christian doctrines organize and explain the beliefs the church learns from the Bible.

orthodoxy small “o,’ is a belief or opinion, the opposite of hersey.

Orthodoxy – Capitalized “O” refers to the church bodies of Eastern Europe and the Middle East Orthodoxed churches.

Hersey is a teaching contrary to another teaching practice that goes against a generally accepted belief or is accepted as norm. Hersey is a teaching that directly opposes the essentials of the Christian faith and is also known as the seed of faith’s destruction.

Many people today do not have a set of beliefs or a moral compass to guide their life by. What do you believe in? Why do you believe it? Are you confident that what you believe is truth and not heresy or is harmful to you or others?

Jesus loves you and He is a great example of good character and truth. His Word is our testing point to truth and safe compass to live by. You can trust Him over anything man professes as truth as it can easily be influenced or considered as opinion.
